Hovering is his, but landing should be controlled by us.

In one of His parables, Jesus used the illustration of birds picking & eating the “scattered” seed “along the path” (Mk 4). He later explained to His confidants what He meant by that: “Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them” (v. 15). Birds live on seeds, but Satan doesn’t. He doesn’t do it out of hunger (like the birds), but out of anger & rebellion. He is restless until He takes it from us, for he knows once the “seed” takes root & begins to fruit in us, it will become “the sword of the Spirit.” Geared up to sink in the Word! Hovering is his, but landing should be controlled by us.
