A purposeful life follows an underlying plan. With such a life resource & opportunities are capitalized, not wasted. But still there remains a dynamic that governs all variables: the will of God for (or in) the times. The seasons shift on Him. No time ticks for anyone without God’s will. James wrote: “Now listen, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.’ Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow….Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that’” (Jas 4:13-15). We never earn the years we live & work in. We therefore bow to God who keeps and gives time.
