The race is not for the swift...

Young age is trusted with vigor & fervor; old age with wisdom. Anything that requires great effort begs for the strong at the body. Vision is high; hearing perfect & all sorts of kinetic energy at their peak. At Greek club enjoying soccer on Saturday, I heard an elderly guy in his seventies asking for the minutes. His friend, almost the same age, said 69. Doubting his contemporary's clarity of vision, he turned to his neighbor (in his late forties) for the exact clocking. 60 was the reply. And the time on the screen turned 70 shortly. The respondents, in trying to represent time, misrepresented age. "The race is not for the swift...but time and chance happen to all" (Ecc 9:11). NA, in Christ.
