How often have we waited impatiently for God?

Written by  Thursday, 12 February 2015 00:00

Getting home after work is refreshing. It is more rewarding when one is met with expectant & dear souls; even pets make the routine exciting. Coming home yesterday, I was greeted with the boys (18 months). Caleb wrestled with the grip of the nanny & came running beaming. He however didn't stop in my embrace; he continued up to the car. It was obvious that he wanted a ride (quite possibly) with me. I wanted my son where he was, but he wanted his father moving around. How often have we waited impatiently for God? And where does our satisfaction get fulfilled: in His presence or on the ride here & there? "For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him" (Ps 62:5)
