Light pollution

Written by  Thursday, 05 June 2014 00:00

Light pollution. Rather uncommon, isn’t it? Researchers in the UK recently warned that a “plague of light” in the bedrooms is causing problems, including a possible obesity in women (the link between metabolism & light exposure is yet to be established though). With heavy or blackout curtains replaced by the easily washable & cheaper thin linens, bedrooms are ‘invaded’ by the artificial outdoor light. Add to this all sorts of light-emitting devices from within: Too much light making us too heavy. The plan was perfect from the start: God “made the sun to govern the day” & “the moon and stars to govern the night” (Ps 136:8-9). Lighter nights benefit more than lighted ones. NA, in Christ.
