The president of the USA is in town. The security, entourage & protocol make his presence significantly noticeable. With the two countries widely apart by every index possible, the visit no doubt attracts coverage & analysis around the globe. But as one goes away from the heart of the matter, no trace can be felt except in the media. He leaves shortly and things will normalize as ever with the impact of such a costly & publicized visit yet to unfold. Such a moment can be a good reminder of the King’s visitation.

He came without anyone noticing, and He left in the flesh with only the few observing. He has nonetheless remained with us in the Spirit. It is always “Immanuel…God with us” (Mt 1:23). Both individuals and nations can pride themselves upon the freedom, righteousness and might they draw from Him.
